Description
Small white porcelain knobs, insulators, for the assembly of twisted wires. Sold individually. Newly made after early 1900s model.
The insulators are screwed on with a slotted screw with a balled head. The cable is then pressed into place with a simple hand grip. In other words, very easy to install. A normal distance between the insulators used to be about 40 cm. For two meters of cable, it takes five insulators.
Normally, white cord was used for white ceilings and white or black cord for walls, depending on the color of the wallpaper or wall. If you want to adapt to other wall colors, it is possible to paint our insulators with colored dust solution.
The porcelain knobs are also used today for cabinet doors, as well as for hanging towels!
Porcelain, glazed. Height 20 mm, diameter 16 mm. Screw included. Sold individually.
ATTENTION! According to Swedish regulations, cords that are part of a fixed high-voltage installation may not be attached with such knobs. However, a cord that forms part of a lamp can be attached with these.
