Koholmen kerosene lamp

Koholmen is an excellent alternative to ordinary candlesticks. The kerosene lamp was the lighting technology that preceded electric lighting and the dominant light source in Swedish homes until the First World War. Today, kerosene lamps are mainly used as mood lighting as a more efficient alternative to candlesticks of various kinds. A room lit by kerosene lamps is something very special with the warm glow and the beautiful shadows that only a living flame can provide.

The original Koholmen model was already in the Karlskrona lamp factory’s range at the end of the 19th century, but reached a wider audience in the 1950s.
