If you open a door towards you and the hinges are visible and on the left side, the door is called left-hung. If the hinges are on the right side, it is right-hinged. Locks are distinguished in the same way. A chamber lock is normally fitted so that you open the door towards you with the key and the lock case is then on the inside of the door.

If the door is installed in this way, the left hinge and left lock belong together and the right hinge belongs with the right lock

Lock for inner door left

Interior door lock intended for room doors after the middle of the 19th century, when there was a transition from surface-mounted chamber locks to recessed so-called mortise locks. The lock is a 3-keeper lock with 44 different key combinations and can be locked from both the outside and the inside. The lock has recess dimensions according to older standards. Therefore, it is often suitable from the late 1800s onwards. This lock is suitable for our prints and knobs, as well as accessories in the form of key plates, rosettes, long plates, etc.

Lock body and lock plate in galvanized steel. Supplied with two keys and strike plate. The latch bolt is reversible when dismantled, i.e. a right-hand lock can be turned into a left-hand lock and vice versa. Counter plate included. Equal locking with the same key for several locks can be specially ordered. Thorn depth 4.5cm.
