Hand forged bolt, long model for external doors. Used for double doors where one door leaf is intended to be fixed and the other openable. Common model from the end of the 18th century to the middle of the 19th century. Long sliding bolt is mounted at the top of the door and short at the bottom. Can be used both as surface-mounted or recessed fittings. Supplied together with a closing plate for the door frame.
